The Mabole Malay Association took part in the Shuttle Slam Badminton Tournament organized by the Mattegoda Malay Association at St. Josephs College indoor stadium on 24th March 2018.Three categories were available, i.e. under 15 Boys & Girls (singles/doubles), Men’s & Women’s Open (singles/doubles/mix doubles), Men’s & Women’s Veterans (singles/doubles/mix doubles - Over 40 years).
The winners & runners up of each category were given cash awards along with Medals, Trophies & certificates. MMA teams participated in several matches, but were not able to achieve victory. Sdr. Annad Hamid and Sdri. Zainab Hamid, represented the MMA EXCO and arranged the transport and attended to the team’s needs
