Seminar on "The Keris - the favoured fighting weapon of the Javanese & Malays" on 13th October 2017

The above lecture organized jointly by the Mabole Malay Association (MMA) and the Sri Lanka Indonesia Friendship Association (SLIFA) was held on 13th October 2017 at the Riptaloka Hall, Indonesian Embassy premises at 400/50, Sarana Road/, off Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.

This lecture was restricted to members of the above two associations, staff of the Indonesian embassy and Presidents/Secretaries of associations coming under SLAMAC, and was conducted by Sdr. M.D. (Tony) Saldin, President, MMA/Past President - SLIFA. A wide range of keris daggers owned by the Lecturer as well as the Indonesian embassy were on display

Mr. Hanomanresi Didi, Counselor/Deputy Head of mission of the Indonesian embassy was the Chief Guest and Mr. Iqram Cuttilan, President SLIFA presided. TV coverage was given by Derana TV. This project was organized by the Social and Cultural Affairs Section of the MMA.
